The Luxury and Rich History of the Victorian Design of Windsor Castle

Probably one of the best days of our stay in UK:
1: Weather is perfect - Yes, it is really cold but the sun is warm and the air is crisp.
2: Dark Blue Skies - London’s weather is generally gloomy; dead and white skies all over. Pictures above tell otherwise. The solid blue skies and clouds painted the atmosphere.
3: Picture Perfect - IMO, this is where I got most of my best shots during our entire stay in UK (and when I say best shots, I got perfect exposures and sharp pictures). Composition-wise, you’d be the judge. ![]()
4: Educational - Touring inside the castle, you’ll see a plethora of artifacts and relics dating back 1300s or older, if I am not mistaken. Everything inside, even the tables, chairs, carpets, walls and drapes have some history behind to tell. It is only unfortunate that taking pictures is strictly prohibited.
Being the home and formidable fortress for the royal family for more than 900 years, Windsor Castle is the largest occupied castle in the world (also the oldest castle in continuous occupation). The castle’s total floor area is abot 4.5 hectares. That’s almost the size of the village I live in!
